Happy barkday!

On August 3rd, 2011, Nina turned 1.

She's been such a fun company to have around, makes me laugh everyday. During the birthday week we had been going to work at Magick Lantern (doggie friendly production house I am a client of) and on her actually birthday I took her out for puppy ice cream after work (Lick-a-lots). She loved it. We went for a walk, but none of the neighborhood dogs were out, I could see she was a little disappointed. So I knocked at my neighbor's door to see if London (adorable pit mix Nina loves) could come over and play for a little bit.

Birthday was a success.

Happy 1st birthday, Nina!

Last month updates part 2

I came back from my trip, picked Nina up at Bia's and although she had the best time with Bruce, she was ready to come home and very very happy to see me (she peed!).

A week later I had to leave to Seattle for work for 3 days and she stayed at Wag a Lot. She loved it and came home super tired when I arrived. I missed my girl!

Now I am finally home for a while and enjoying the time with her.

She has been coming to work with me when I work out of this dog friendly production house. It's awesome and everyone loves here there, although she is a little jumpy and crazy.

We also go a lot to the dog park. She gets filthy!

She is also getting more cuddly. Before she wouldnt let me hold her much or lay close to me, now she does!

Our evening walks are nice too.

She hasnt been great off leash. Crossed the driveway a few times. So I am being careful with that.

We also started a new round of training, but had the first class and the next two were canceled. Bummer.

The focus now if for her to learn not to jump!

She is awesome though and makes me laugh every day!

Last month updates part 1 - Staying with Bia for 10 days

I have been traveling a lot. I was gone for 10 days to Brazil and Argentina and Nina stayed with my friend Bia. Bia is awesome! Always willing to help. She has a big house, big backyard, two grown up sons and, more importantly, Bruce, a boxer great dane mix, who couldn't be any sweeter and playful.

In the first night Nina was very confused as to why she would sleep there and was restless, cried, looked for me. From the second night on, she was happy and fine. She and Bruce were inseparable! And apparently the house family grown to love her too. They didn't wanna give her back to me, they said. I thought of moving in. :)

Bia's sons loved picking Nina up like a baby. They thought it was hysterical, and it is. She looks like she has no idea of what's going on. Haha

Baby Nina

I am very behind on this blog.
I need to write about my trip and 10 days away from Nina. And more importantly, the reencounter.
I also need to write about this awesome new dog park and how much fun she is having there.
And how I gave in and allowed her in my couch all weekend. With a blanket on top of it, but still.
But today I will just post a pic of her when she was a baby. Way before we met. She is the second from left to right. So cute!

Bath and pond

Her fresh out of the shower look only lasted a day.

So after taking Nina yesterday for a "fancy bath puppy plus deluxe", today she takes off when we were downstairs and she goes down to the neighborhood pond and jumps on it.
Nice!
